Italians do it better.. but they take a little longer!

Well its been a long and rocky road since January this year when I finally decided to take up the challenge of developing, producing and launching my own knitwear label, Blankit. I’d been talking (and have been quoted several times in Drapers) over the past 2 years about launching a luxury, fashion-led, super soft and covetable womens’ knitwear collection and yet somehow every time I planned to start the project a more urgent distraction would plant itself in front of me. So it is with great personal pride and feeling of achievement that I await the delivery of my AW11 collection this month to my store in Marlow and I for one will be swaddling myself in the superfine alpaca, mohair and merino mix knits and taking a celebratory walk up the high street (in as many of the pieces as I can physically adorn, let’s hope its suitably chilly)!
The USP of Blankit is simple – each piece is seriously soft and tender, lovingly made by Italians who know about knitwear, and yet the design is inspired by all things British. You can wear it on Bond Street, or on Branscombe Beach, layer over simple basics or use it as a comforter on a cold winter’s night. What is for sure is that you will love it and in return it will make you feel special..
